Building on Parkasaurus’ core management action - which takes obvious inspiration from the likes of Theme Park and DinoPark Tycoon - the new Sea Monsters DLC introduces 11 aquatic reptiles and fish, as well as corresponding flooded enclosures, for players to install on their quest to create the ultimate dino-flavoured tourist attraction. If you’re looking for specifics, those new dinos are Elasmosaurus, Plesiosaurus, Mosasaurus, Atopodentatus, Sarcosuchus, Archelon, Dunkleosteus, Liopleurodon, Ichthyosaurus, Placodus, and Megalodon....

The time-travelling adventure starring Jodie Whittaker and David Tennant was previously set for 30th September, but did not materialise. And there’s a further delay to the game’s Nintendo Switch edition, which does not release today. Instead, the TARDIS will finally turn up there in two weeks’ time - on 28th October. This is a new and expanded version of Doctor Who: The Edge of Time, which originally launched as a VR game in 2019....

Not much was shown beyond a brief trailer revealing a logo - though that logo did reveal a turn towards dark fantasy, and what series’ creator dubbed a Dragon Quest ‘for adults’. It’s being primed for a simultaneous worldwide release - in what would be a first for a mainline entry - though the timing has yet to be revealed, while no platforms have been announced just yet....

There are a few eyebrow raisers in here, but let’s start at the top and with Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been downgraded one point in overall score. Ronaldo was rated 92 overall in last year’s game, and second only to Lionel Messi’s 93. For FIFA 22, however, Ronaldo has a 91 overall rating, and is booted into joint third alongside the likes of Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne, Kylian Mbappé and Neymar of Paris Saint-Germain, and Atletico de Madrid keeper Jan Oblak....

Developer Mediatonic made the announcement on its website - without saying exactly how many PlayStation Plus downloads it has seen. Fall Guys exploded onto the scene last summer, launching on PC, and on PlayStation 4 straight into PlayStation Plus. Its clever combination of platforming and battle royale made for fun and addictive arcade gameplay, and 24 hours after release it had more than 1.5 million players. As of December 2020, Fall Guys had sold more than 11m copies on PC alone....

Proceedings get underway with Fallout 76’s Locked & Loaded update, set to arrive in “spring”. This is primarily focussed on quality of life features, introducing the likes of SPECIAL Loadouts, which make it possible to quickly switch between builds. Specifically, players can reboot their points from level 25 onward, saving custom point allocations to swap in and out at will. Then there are new CAMP slots, enabling players to build and maintain more than one camp at a time, as well an expansion to Daily Ops, said to nearly double the amount of randomised content currently available....

Now, Derrick has shared his delight at all the positive feedback for Return to Monkey Island in a heartfelt Twitter thread. This alone is nice but not especially newsworthy. The previously announced 1/6 scale figurine was revealed last weekend and is available globally as part of its Masterline series. It features Final Fantasy 6 character Terra riding Magitek armour. Flight Simulator’s incoming third World Update continues the impressive work seen in previous overhauls for the United States and Japan, and will, as previously announced, include new aerials, improved elevation data, new landing challenges, new points of interest, five new hand-crafted airports, and five brand-new photogrammetry cities. Building on those earlier details in its latest development blog, Asobo has now confirmed World Update 3’s new airports as Barra, Land’s End, Liverpool, Manchester-Barton, and Out Skerries, while the cities getting the photogrammetry treatment will be Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Oxford, and London - the latter of which gets an airing in the screens below....
